Jade Concepts

Citizens are getting older and are increasingly living longer with chronic diseases, helped by advanced medical care ending up to chronic conditions and minor disabilities well manageable by home care. This demographic change poses significant challenges to Europe’s society and economy.

Thereby, JADE project aims at developing and promoting a Common Research Agenda and Joint Action Plan tackling one of the most promising cluster applications of Ambient Intelligence technologies in everyday life according to the needs of a healthy ageing population: Independent living services and Telecare.

JADE project focuses on the use of these applications to support a healthy ageing population, with a special attention for chronic disease management and prevention in elderly.
